ECU, BCM & ABS Module Programming

Replacing a car computer is only half the job: a new or used module has to be programmed and coded to your car's VIN, options and immobilizer before it works. We do module programming on site for engine and transmission computers (ECM, PCM, TCM), body control modules (BCM) and ABS modules, among others. That often saves a tow to the dealer. If a module fails, we can also clone the old one into a replacement. And when a job truly needs the dealer, we tell you before we start. We cover Miami-Dade and Broward.

How the job goes

  1. 01

Call or text the car, the module that was replaced or failed, and any warning lights or codes.

  2. 02

We confirm the job, text you the price, and tell you honestly if it needs the dealer.

  3. 03

At the car we check ownership, connect our programming tools and program or code the module.

  4. 04

We run the setup and relearns the car needs, check for codes and confirm everything works.

Questions

What is ECU programming?

Every car computer runs software set up for that exact car. ECU programming loads the correct software and links a new or replacement computer to your car's VIN, options and immobilizer, so the engine and the other modules work together as the factory intended.

Does a new BCM need to be programmed?

Yes, in almost every car. The body control module runs the locks, lights, alarm and often the key system, so a new or used BCM must be programmed and coded to the car. Otherwise you may see warning lights, a no-start or features that stop working.

Can you program a used module from a junkyard?

Often, yes. Used modules usually carry the other car's VIN and security data. Depending on the car, we reprogram it or clone your old module into it. Send us the part number first and we'll tell you if it will work.

Do you do module programming near me?

We come to you anywhere in Miami-Dade and Broward: your home, a repair shop or the roadside. We also work at repair shops when a car there needs a module programmed after a repair.
